POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to manage the software implementation and development life cycle, providing expert technical leadership through the design, development, and maintenance of solutions to support the needs of our employees. Achieving this goal will require: diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in collaboration with internal technical resources and external partners; developing and ensuring compliance with standards for programming and documentation in keeping with industry best practices; developing or assisting with the selection of systems that meet business needs and comply with standards in performance, reliability, and security; and providing leadership and coaching to the application/software team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES Analyzing business operations and the business's computer systems and determining which software applications could improve efficiency. Making recommendations on whether to upgrade the existing systems or install new ones. Leading teams of IT specialists in the implementation and upgrading of network hardware and software. Maintaining the organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies. Directing technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects. Verifying application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented. Recommending information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies. Assessing and evaluating client requirements against scope of project as well as managing project plan and schedule. Monitoring the roll-out of new software applications to ensure there are no problems. Troubleshooting and resolving any problems with business application software. Creating and overseeing protocols and procedures for the use of any new software applications. Training employees in the use of any new software applications and maintaining a good work atmosphere. Creating, executing, and maintaining company databases. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest software developments.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees within the IT department. REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Bachelor's or graduate degree in programming, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field. Experience working with technologies like ERP, CRM, BI, Data Warehouses, cloud platforms like Azure and traditional windows server environments; Prophet21, SQL Server, or HubSpot preferred. Broad working knowledge of computer networking, installation, and administration. Experience with database management and project management. Excellent technical skills. Expertise in troubleshooting computer and programing problems. Keep up to date with the latest software developments. Strong leadership, management, and customer service skills. Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations.
